| 1 | The family of Henry Stix was rather complicated. Henry's first wife Pauline Thurnauer had been previously married to a Henry Sachs. He was the father of Henry Sachs Stix but who died that same year this son was born - 1850. Since the son Henry Sachs took the Stix surname and became Henry Sachs Stix it is assumed that he was adopted by his step father Henry Stix upon marriage to his mother Pauline Thurnauer in 1853. Henry Stix and Pauline went on to have two children of their own - Aurelia and Charles Henry. Then Pauline died in 1865. Henry Stix then married his second wife Fanny Troy in 1867.
